Planning & Zoning Commission
Role/Mission
The Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) acts as an advisory group to the City Council in required and discretionary land use matters associated with the following:
- Comprehensive planning;
- Zoning;
- Subdivision Platting; and
- Other growth management initiatives related to the physical development of the city.
Membership/Qualifications
The Commission shall consist of seven (7) regular members appointed by the City Council.
Resident citizens, real property owners, and qualified voters of the city.
Terms
Commission members serve three (3) year staggered terms with no term limits.
Meetings
The P&Z Commission meets the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers. Special meetings may be called as needed.
