Update - Deer Management Research Project

City Council, at their November 2011 Council meeting, authorized the Mayor to sign a contract with The Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M

for a research project that evaluates the viablity of treating whitetail deer with a contraceptive in order to reduce and/or stabilize the herd size. To read the first Deer Management Research Project report, see Archives... "Read on..."

Notice of Candidate Filing Period for the May 12, 2012 Election

The Mayor's seat and City Council Places 1 and 2 are up for election this year and deadline information on filing an application for a Place on the City Council can be found by clicking on Notice of Deadline to File.

Applications can be picked up at City Hall or can be downloaded from the Secretary of State's website www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/index.shtml.

Fair Oaks Ranch Utilities declares Stage 1 of Drought Contingency Plan - Surcharges End

Recent rainfall has raised the average static water level in the observation well greater than 1040 feet above mean sea level for the past sixty days. Therefore, on December 12, 2011, Stage 2 drought conditions were lifted and Stage 1 became in effect.
