Superior Water SystemThe City of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, provides water and wastewater services to a growing community located approximately 30 miles northwest of San Antonio, Texas. The utility currently serves an estimated 3,172 water customers and 1,952 wastewater customers.

The principal sources of water are a wholesale supply connection to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority’s Western Canyon transmission main and 30 active groundwater wells. The water distribution system currently consists of three independent pressure zones, a network of water lines ranging in diameter from 2 inches to 12 inches, seven ground storage tanks, and five pump stations. The wastewater collection system consists of seven lift stations and associated force mains, a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), and a network of gravity mains 4 inches to 16 inches. The WWTP is owned and operated by the City and has a current permitted capacity of 0.5 MGD annual average day flow.
