Animal Services

An Animal Services Officer is any person or persons designated by the City as an enforcement officer who is qualified to perform such duties as required by City ordinances.
 
  1. An Animal Services Officer is charged with responding to requests for help from animals, including wild animals, dangerous animals, and animals in distress.
  2. Responding to stray dog & cat concerns.
  3. Investigation of animal welfare concerns.
  4. Sheltering of unwanted dogs & cats.
  5. Safe animal removal from residences and roadways.
  6. Enforcement of City ordinances regarding livestock, fowl, and exotic animals.

Animal Services is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and can be reached at the non-emergency dispatch number (830) 249-8645.  To answer calls after hours, weekends or holidays, please contact Dispatch at the non-emergency number listed above and a Fair Oaks Ranch Police Officer, will respond.
