Hats off to our incredible Public Works Department!!

As we celebrate National Public Works Week, we want to extend our deepest appreciation to the hardworking individuals who make our City of Fair Oaks Ranch thrive. Especially this year, we're sending an extra special thank you to our Public Works Department for their outstanding dedication during the winter storm and disaster cleanup. 
When the unexpected happened, our Public Works team sprang into action, working tirelessly to keep our community safe and restore normalcy. From clearing roads and repairing infrastructure to providing essential services, they went above and beyond the call of duty. Their commitment and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring. 
Through long hours, harsh conditions, and immense challenges, our Public Works Department showed unwavering dedication to the well-being of Fair Oaks Ranch and its residents. Their professionalism and expertise have been vital in recovering from the winter storm and disaster, ensuring that our city continues to thrive.

Tree Trimming Notice

With the City's Annual Street Maintenance Program set to place this summer from May 30th to September, the City is asking residents who live in The Fairways, Enchanted Oak, Oakwood Heights,  along Keeneland Dr. and other slurry seal locations to have landscapers cut back tree limbs and/or vegetation out of the roadway. 

Trimming trees and other landscaping in advance will prevent potential damage caused by large equipment involved in the slurry seal application process. If a low-hanging branch is that of an oak tree, please refrain from trimming until after July 1st. 

In addition, City crews will also be trimming areas of concern to provide the necessary clearance where needed.

Annual Street Maintenance - Pavement Rejuvenation

This year's annual street maintenance rejuvenation project will occur from May 30th to June 2nd. Affected locations include Silver Spur Trail, Meadow Creek Trail, Cibolo Trails and Trailside.

We ask residents not to use irrigation sprinklers 2-3 days after application to avoid staining/discoloration of the street; and to remove parked cars off the street during the day of product application and the following day of street sweeping.

On Memorial Day, we come together as a community to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our great nation, and pause to remember and honor those who gave their lives in defense of the values we hold dear.
Let us reflect on the selflessness, courage, and unwavering dedication of our fallen heroes. They answered the call of duty, leaving behind their families, friends, and the comfort of home to protect the freedoms we hold so dear. We remember their sacrifice, their unwavering commitment to uphold justice, and their willingness to lay down their lives.
On Memorial Day we come together to demonstrate our profound gratitude to those who have paid the ultimate price. Their sacrifice serves as a reminder of the extraordinary lengths our fellow citizens have gone to safeguard our way of life.
Let us remember the soldiers who fought valiantly on foreign shores, the sailors who sailed the vast seas, the airmen who soared through the skies, and the Marines who stood tall in defense of our nation. Each one of them played an integral role in preserving the freedoms we hold dear. Their courage and commitment will forever be etched in our hearts.
As we pay tribute to our fallen heroes, let us also extend our heartfelt appreciation to their families. They, too, have made tremendous sacrifices and have borne the weight of their loved ones' absence. Their strength and resilience are an inspiration to us all.
